When we are new to clogging, it takes all our concentration to put together a step. And when we're asked to turn the steps, we often get disoriented and our feet also lose their way. A way that I find helpful is to repeat the words of the step breakdown as I am doing the step. For example, the Charleston would be 'Double Step Touch Heel Toe Heel Rock Step'. This can often help us to remember what movement comes next as we turn the step. Give that a go the next time you struggle with turning a step.
